Our Climate GoalsPG&E has been working for more than four decades to enable our customers to reduce their energy use and carbon footprint. Today, our energy efficiency, demand response, and distributed generation and storage programs are the hallmark of this work:

• Our energy efficiency programs help reduce energy demand on the grid, keep customer energy bills affordable, and contribute to California’s clean energy goals.
• Our demand response programs enable customers to reduce energy use during periods of peak demand, which provides grid stability, realizes greenhouse gas emissions reductions, and lowers costs for customers.
• Distributed energy resources, such as rooftop solar and customer battery storage, are key to California’s clean energy future and allow customers to have more control over the energy that powers their lives.
