Alejandro "Alex" Vallejo is Executive Vice President, Chief People Officer of PG&E Corporation and its subsidiary, Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
In this role, Vallejo leads PG&E's People organization, overseeing talent acquisition, labor relations, coworker development, and change management. He is responsible for attracting, cultivating, and retaining a high-performing workforce and fostering a values-driven culture that delivers a safe and resilient energy system to meet customers' evolving needs.
Previously, Vallejo was Chief Risk Officer and Senior Vice President, Ethics & Compliance, where he oversaw enterprise risk assessment and mitigation strategies across operations, public safety and other critical areas. Vallejo also led PG&E's Ethics and Compliance function, including its enterprise Privacy, Federal Compliance, and Records and Information Governance programs.
Since joining PG&E in 2010, Vallejo has held a range of leadership positions in Law, Customer Care, and Ethics & Compliance, including as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, Senior Director and Senior Special Counsel, where he oversaw all aspects of the company's court-appointed federal monitorship and related obligations.
Before PG&E, Vallejo was a litigator at the international law firm of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP, where he focused on complex commercial cases and regulatory matters.
Vallejo earned his law degree from Harvard Law School and bachelor's degree from the University of California, Riverside. He also completed an executive leadership program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
Vallejo is a member of the State Bar of California and served on the Board of Trustees for The Mexican Museum in San Francisco from 2014-24.
