Vincent Davis is Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E).
Davis leads the breakthrough strategy for all aspects of the customer experience and revenue operations from providing metering solutions to customer service and sales through final billing including the company’s diverse portfolio of programs and products servicing all customers.
Davis started his role at PG&E in 2013 and is responsible for meter testing, customer billing, payment processing, credit policy, revenue operations, contact center operations, digital channels, pricing strategy, and operations. These functions are responsible for processing revenues totaling over $21 billion annually.
Davis also oversees the implementation of the utility's low-income programs including the California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) and Energy Savings Assistance programs as well as Application Management and Central Inspection functions. He is also responsible for the Customer & Enterprise Solutions Compliance function.
Davis is the Executive Sponsor of the Customer & Enterprise Solutions Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Council, the Black Employee Resource Group (ERG) as well as the Legacy ERG.
Davis has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry. Prior to his current role, Davis led the Customer Energy Solutions organization responsible for demand-side management programs: energy efficiency, demand response, distributed generation, time-variable electric pricing, automated energy management, electric vehicles, and onsite customer generation.
Previously, Davis worked for Duke Energy holding a variety of management and leadership positions. At Duke, he led the company's Envision Charlotte program which was recognized by the Clinton Global Initiative.
He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Davis has an MBA from the McColl Graduate School of Business at Queens University in Charlotte, N.C. He completed executive leadership programs at Stanford University and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He is also a graduate of the Next Leader World 50 Program.
Davis was awarded the Leadership Excellence Award in Energy as part of the 2022 Energy Inclusion Conference. He has served on various boards including the China-US Energy Innovation Alliance, the Oakland Museum of California, Jacob's Ladder Job Center, the Children's Theater of Charlotte, the Greater Cincinnati Boys and Girls Club, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, and the Cincinnati Better Business Bureau.
