Russ Prentice serves as Vice President of Enterprise and Operational Risk at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E).
Prentice oversees the company's risk assessments and mitigation strategies for nuclear risk and business interruption from cyberattacks and other catastrophic events. He also oversees the validation of key operational risk mitigation activities.
Prentice has held a number of leadership roles in PG&E with a focus on Operational Performance, Risk Reduction and Regulatory Compliance. Recently, he has served as Director of Risk and Compliance for Generation and had direct oversight over many facets of Nuclear and Power Generation Risk, Nuclear Cyber Security, Regulatory Compliance and Emergency Planning. Prentice has experience in Nuclear Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Power Generation Compliance and Physical Security. He received his Senior Reactor Operator License in 2014 and is a graduate of the INPO Nuclear Department Leader course.
Prior to joining PG&E, Prentice worked in automotive controls. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
