Peter Kenny is Senior Vice President, Electric Operations.
Kenny leads Electric Operations which delivers safe and reliable energy to more than 16 million people throughout Northern and Central California. The Electric Operations team of over 12,000 coworkers and contract partners perform work on over 125,000 circuit miles of interconnected transmission and distribution lines in service to our customers.
Kenny joined PG&E in 2012 and has served in numerous leadership positions with increasing responsibility. Prior roles include Senior Vice President of Major Infrastructure Delivery, Senior Vice President of Vegetation Management & Electric System Inspections, and Vice President of Gas Operations Transmission and Distribution Construction.
Kenny began his career at Brooklyn Union Gas and has over 30 years of experience in the utility industry, including serving in leadership roles with National Grid that spanned across multiple states. Throughout his career, Kenny has engaged those closest to the work and leveraged lean operating systems to deliver breakthrough outcomes.
Kenny is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College of California where he earned his bachelor's degree in leadership and organizational studies. In addition, he completed the Tuck Advanced Management Program at Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, and Lean Management Program at INSEAD, France. Kenny is a member of the Board of Directors for the California Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce.
