Peter Kenny is Senior Vice President, Chief Delivery Officer for Electric Transmission and Distribution.
As Senior Vice President, Chief Delivery Officer for Electric Transmission and Distribution, he is responsible for the safe, reliable delivery of electricity to more than 16 million customers and oversees a workforce of about 20,000 coworkers and contract partners — about 11,000 coworkers and 9,000 contract partners — working across electric asset management and inspection, engineering, vegetation management, maintenance and construction of our electrical infrastructure including substations, undergrounding, new customer energy delivery and more.
Since joining PG&E in 2012, he has held positions of increasing scope and responsibility, including Senior Vice President, Electric Operations; Senior Vice President, Vegetation Management and Electric System Inspections; Senior Vice President, Major Infrastructure Delivery; and Vice President, Gas Transmission and Distribution Construction.
Peter has more than 30 years of experience in the utility industry. He began his career at Brooklyn Union Gas as a utility worker and went on to lead energy operations spanning multiple states at National Grid.
Throughout his career, he has delivered breakthrough outcomes by engaging coworkers on the front line and leveraging lean operating principles.
Peter is a graduate of Saint Mary's College of California, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Leadership and Organizational Studies. He also completed the Tuck Advanced Management Program at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, the Lean Management Program at INSEAD in France and the C-Suite Pathway Program jointly delivered by IESE Business School and NYU Stern.
