Mike Medeiros
Vice President, Strategic Commercial Solutions | Pacific Gas and Electric Company
Mike Medeiros is Vice President, Strategic Commercial Solutions for Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E).
Medeiros leads efforts to bring data centers and other large-load customers online throughout PG&E's service area, develop new solutions to better serve PG&E's largest commercial and industrial customers, and serve as a vital partner to drive the successful implementation of PG&E's partnership efforts with the City of San Jose.
Medeiros has 35 years of utility and energy experience, including 18 years at PG&E spanning two timeframes. Before this role, he was Vice President, South Bay Delivery, where he led a program management organization focused on San Jose and the broader South Bay and Central Coast region. Medeiros was charged with working cross-functionally with internal teams as well as key external partners such as city leaders, regulators, financial partners and other stakeholders.
Medeiros has held numerous leadership positions of increasing responsibility since 2012 with a focus on complex infrastructure development, including in Energy Storage Development, Competitive Transmission Development, Engineering, Transmission and Substation Project Management, and Electric Technology and Information.
Before rejoining PG&E in 2012, Medeiros worked for several energy-related companies including New Energy Ventures, PG&E Energy Services, PG&E Gas Transmission-Northwest and Silicon Energy Corporation. In those roles, he had responsibility for negotiating complex wholesale and retail energy supply and services contracts as well as large natural gas transportation contracts.
Medeiros also spent 10 years with GWF Power Systems, where he had various asset management responsibilities in addition to leading development activities for new California-based electric generation and the negotiation of power purchase agreements with California investor-owned utilities.
Medeiros holds a bachelor's in economics from Santa Clara University and a master's in business administration from Golden Gate University.
