Kevin Armato is Vice President of Gas Transmission and Distribution Construction.
In this role, Kevin Armato leads a large field-based organization that is responsible for the construction related to maintaining the safety and reliability of PG&E’s 50,000-mile gas transmission and distribution gas pipeline system.
Armato previously served as Senior Director, Gas Operations Project and Program Management, overseeing the strategic direction and execution of Gas Transmission Projects and Distribution Programs, including budget and delivery of the portfolio.
Armato began his career with PG&E in 2002 as an engineer. Over the last 22 years, he has held several leadership roles within Gas Operations and Gas Engineering, including Supervisor and Manager of Corrosion, Supervisor of Station and System Integrity Engineering, Manager of Distribution Integrity Management, Leak Survey and Maintenance & Construction Superintendent, and Director and Senior Director of Damage Prevention and Compliance.
Among other achievements during his career at PG&E, he has worked to develop and reinforce a continuous improvement and quality management culture and ensure the consistent application of project management, process management and improvement tools.
Armato was born and raised in Northern California. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University and holds certification as a NACE Cathodic Protection Specialist.
He serves on the boards of USA North and the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA). He also assists as an advisor for the Materials Engineering External Board at California Polytechnic State University.
