James Kim

James Kim was named Vice President, Energy Systems and Solutions of PG&E in 2024.

In this role, Kim is responsible for PG&E's business applications used by electric, gas, generation, nuclear, supply chain, finance and HR functions. Kim is leading a multiyear transformation program to improve PG&E's core processes to construct and maintain the energy infrastructure. His team is responsible for major platforms such as SAP, Esri GIS, vegetation management and data/analytics platforms. 

 

Prior to PG&E, Kim worked in private equity on the operations team driving value creation and for private equity-owned portfolio companies as COO, CTO and CIO. Prior to private equity, James worked as an ERP/supply chain systems implementation consultant for Fortune 500 companies. 

 

Kim earned a B.S. from the University of Illinois in Supply Chain Management.
