Venkat Dhenuvakonda (DV) Rao became PG&E's Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development in 2024.
Rao joined PG&E in April 2024 and is responsible for providing financial leadership and designing and aligning business priorities to execute PG&E’s strategy. His responsibilities include development of annual and long-term plans to set the multi-year financial direction of the company, establishing financial analysis standards across the enterprise, and spearheading financial and strategic transactions including joint ventures and partnerships.
Bringing a wealth of financial knowledge and deep-rooted expertise in the regulated utility sector, Rao comes to PG&E from CMS Energy, where he served as a Senior Vice President of Strategy for both CMS Energy and its principal subsidiary Consumers Energy. Over his 24-year tenure at CMS, he held various leadership positions including Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasurer and Vice President of Investor Relations. His contributions played a pivotal role in establishing CMS as a leading regulated utility.
