David Leach is Senior Vice President, Chief Security Officer and Chief Data & Analytics Officer of Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E).
Leach is responsible for leading PG&E's corporate security, cybersecurity, technology risk and compliance, and enterprise-wide data management and analytics, including protection of physical and cyber assets, asset and operational data, and driving continuous improvement in the company's data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Leach has spent much of his career focused on protection of information and technology assets and transforming businesses through analytics. Prior to joining PG&E, he spent many years in leadership roles at global product and technology companies, including Micron Technology and Cummins, leaders in semiconductor and industrial power, respectively. His accomplishments include building and leading enterprise programs for cybersecurity, information protection and regulatory compliance, as well as development of enterprise data and analytics functions.
Leach has led a variety of other business and technology functions, including development and operation of cloud and network platforms, supply chain and information technology. The result of his work has been delivery of completely re-imagined coworker and customer experiences, and improved quality, safety, operational and financial outcomes.
A native of California, he holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a BA in Economics from Boise State University.
