Blair Jones serves as Vice President of Business and Technical Services at Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Diablo Canyon Power Plant in Avila Beach, California.
In this role, he leads a broad portfolio of critical functions including regulatory strategy and compliance, license renewal, operational risk management, nuclear fuel management, emergency preparedness, business and financial planning, cybersecurity, innovation, and environmental stewardship.
Jones joined PG&E in 2009 and has held several leadership positions across the company. Prior to his current role, he served as Chief of Staff to the Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer, and as Senior Director of Strategy, Performance Improvement, and Organizational Effectiveness. In these roles, he supported strategic planning and execution for a 1,200-person organization, ensuring alignment with PG&E's mission and values.
Earlier in his career, Jones held roles in Corporate Relations and External Communications, advising on strategic communications for PG&E's Power Generation, Energy Procurement, and Nuclear Generation functions.
Before joining PG&E, Jones served on The White House staff as a Presidential Spokesperson and Deputy Director of Media Affairs. He also worked as an aide and communications advisor to several members of Congress, focusing on issues under the jurisdiction of the House Ways and Means, Judiciary, Natural Resources, and Science, Space and Technology Committees.
Jones holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Alabama.
