Angie Gibson

Vice President, Emergency Preparedness and Response | Pacific Gas and Electric Company

Angie Gibson is Vice President of Emergency Preparedness and Response for Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E).

In this role, Gibson oversees all areas of emergency management including mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. She has oversight for numerous departments including Geosciences, Life Safety, Hazard Awareness & Warning Center (HAWC), Gas, Power Generation and Electric Emergency Management and Public Safety, Emergency Exercise, Training, Planning, Prevention and Process Improvement.

Gibson joined PG&E in 1988 and has over 30 years of experience in the utility industry. Since 2011, she has focused on emergency management, serving as Manager, Emergency Management, Emergency Recovery and Public Safety, and as Director, Emergency Preparedness and Response.

During her career Gibson has deployed to support service restoration in New York after Super Storm Sandy, in Florida for Hurricane Irma and in Puerto Rico for Hurricane Maria.

Gibson graduated from Franklin University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Safety Management. She is California State Certified Firefighter 1 and a FEMA-certified Master Exercise Practitioner. She has completed several training and certification courses across homeland security, business continuity and emergency management fields. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors of the California Fire Safe Council.
