Vice President, North Coast Region | Pacific Gas and Electric Company
Ronald P. Richardson is the Vice President of PG&E's North Coast Region.
As one of PG&E's senior leaders in the field every day, he will be accountable for delivering high-quality performance to our customers and ensuring the safety, availability, and reliability of regional operations for our hometowns. The Regional Vice Presidents live and work in their regions, close to the customers they are dedicated to serving, so that they can build strong collaborative relationships and develop solutions to operational issues based on a deep understanding of local needs. Richardson was born in Healdsburg, raised in Cloverdale and lives in Mendocino County.
Richardson joined PG&E more than 20 years ago as a utility worker and apprentice lineman, and steadily progressed through a variety of leadership roles to his previous position as Senior Director of Transmission Substation Maintenance & Construction. In this role, he held responsibility for the timely repair and maintenance of transmission and substation assets; supporting efforts to reduce wildfire risk and reducing the footprint of Public Safety Power Shutoffs; and driving the delivery of the Transmission Substation Maintenance & Construction workplan.
Previously, Richardson was Director, North Coast, Field Operations, which included PG&E's Humboldt, Sonoma and North Bay divisions. Throughout his career with PG&E, he has focused on field operations, overseeing service delivery, safety inspections, maintenance and construction work, and engaging with customers to resolve escalated issues.
