Vice President, Central Valley Region | Pacific Gas and Electric Company
Joshua M. Simes is Vice President, Central Valley Region. He joined PG&E in July 2021.
As one of PG&E's senior leaders in the field every day, he will be accountable for delivering high-quality performance to our customers and ensuring the safety, availability and reliability of regional operations for our hometowns. The regional vice presidents live and work in their regions, close to the customers they are dedicated to serving, so that they can build strong collaborative relationships and develop solutions to operational issues based on a deep understanding of local needs.
Simes came to PG&E from Comcast, where he spent more than two decades in field operations leadership roles.
Most recently, he was Vice President of Field Operations for a five-county area in the Central Valley. He was responsible for all field operational activity for Comcast’s South Valley Region and led a team of more than 300 members serving more than 800,000 video, internet, digital voice, home security and commercial customers. He joined Comcast at 23 as an installer and was subsequently promoted to a series of supervisory and leadership positions, including Field Operations Supervisor, Field Operations Manager, and Director of Field Operations.
He served as a member of the California Comcast Diversity and Inclusion Council and as an executive sponsor for its Young Professional Network.
Born and raised in Pittsburg in Contra Costa, Simes earned an associate degree from Los Medanos College, where he played football. Simes holds a bachelor’s degree in social science from Portland State University in Oregon. He lives in Fresno with his wife, Shaletha. They have a daughter and a son.
