Jeff Deal is Vice President, Electric Distribution Operations, for Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E).

As Electric Distribution Vice President, Deal will oversee PG&E's electric distribution system across the company's 70,000-square-mile service area. His team builds, maintains and operates a system that includes nearly 107,000 circuit miles of overhead and underground power lines that serve PG&E's 5.5 million electric customers.

Deal, who joined PG&E in 1985, has had roles of increasing responsibility with the company over the past three decades. Most recently, he was Senior Director, Distribution Grid Operations, where he led an 800-person team responsible for dispatching and scheduling, system operations and control, field metering, emergency management and the asset health and performance center. He served as an Operations Section Chief for Public Safety Power Shutoff events in 2019 and 2020.

Deal's previous roles at PG&E have included Director, Field Operations, Sacramento Valley; Regional Director for Electric Distributions in the Central Valley and Northern Regions; and Director, Electric Operations Compliance and Risk Management. Deal began his career at PG&E in various engineering positions.

Deal has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and is a Registered Electrical Engineer with the state of California.
