Vice President, Enterprise Change Office | Pacific Gas and Electric Company
Debbie Powell was named Vice President, Enterprise Change Office, for PG&E in 2021.
In this role, Powell leads efforts to coordinate and integrate various strategic change initiatives within the company, with the goal of improving coworker engagement and ultimately producing better outcomes for PG&E's customers.
Powell previously served in key leadership roles in the company's electric team, including as Interim Head of Electric Operations and Vice President, Asset & Risk Management, Community Wildfire Safety Program. She joined PG&E in 2010 and has also held positions of increasing responsibility in the company's power generation team.
Powell has more than 30 years of corporate, energy industry and military experience. Prior to joining PG&E, Powell led the Lower Colorado River Authority's 425-MW Thomas C. Ferguson Power Plant, as plant manager.
Powell began her career in the United States Navy, serving in a variety of leadership and engineering roles on several combatant ships. She retired from the U.S. Navy Reserves in 2012.
Powell graduated from the United States Naval Academy, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in general science, and is a 2011 graduate of Leadership California.
