Vice President, Utility Partnerships and Innovation | Pacific Gas and Electric Company
Aaron August is Vice President of Utility Partnerships and Innovation at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). August is focused on the creation of transformative, scalable solutions to interlocking utility challenges through the development of third-party partnerships and the deployment of new technology that directly accelerates PG&E's long-term strategy. He has oversight of non-traditional utility partnerships, R&D, solutions management, load management, clean energy transportation, and business development.
August joined PG&E in 2013. Prior to his current role, he was responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, and effectiveness of PG&E's energy programs including energy efficiency, demand response, distributed generation, low income, and clean transportation. He also had oversight over PG&E's account management team for small, mid-market, large commercial business, and agriculture accounts, as well as business development and local customer experience programs, including wildfire customer engagement for Customer Care. This portfolio included >850 employees, 150 contractors and programs representing more than $7 billion in annual enterprise revenues.
Since joining PG&E his teams have earned national recognition in a variety of functions, including National Key Accounts Team of the year (2017 and 2018), Business Customer Champion Award (2018) and Gold Customer Service Awards for Small Medium Business Experience Delivery (2017).
Prior to his tenure with PG&E, August worked for Comcast for 10 years. He graduated from California State University, East Bay with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He has attended executive education programs at Stanford University and the University of Idaho. He has been an advisory board member for the Fresno Grizzlies and the San Joaquin Valley Clean Energy Organization.
