(San Francisco) – PG&E Corporation (NYSE:PCG) today announced the election of Forrest E. Miller, 56, a senior executive with AT&T Inc., to the holding company’s Board of Directors, as well as the Board of its subsidiary, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, which provides utility service for 15 million people in northern and central California.

Miller, AT&T’s Group President-Corporate Strategy and Development, has nearly 25 years of leadership experience in senior positions with the company and its predecessors, SBC and Pacific Telesis Group. Miller’s experience and expertise include leading the planning and execution of major strategic growth initiatives, heading AT&T’s global enterprise operations in New Jersey and local telephone operations in the Southwest, and assignments overseeing various corporate functions including AT&T’s government affairs activities. His election to the PG&E Boards will be effective upon regulatory approval.

“Forrest brings a proven track record of success in leading businesses with large, complex, customer-driven operations, in both regulated and competitive markets,” said Peter A. Darbee, PG&E Corporation Chairman, CEO and President. “His skills and talents, together with his strong experience, make him an ideal candidate to join our Boards. We look forward to his contributions.”

Miller joined AT&T in 1984. Today, he is responsible for leading corporate strategy, merger and acquisition activities, and business development for AT&T. In addition to the responsibilities previously described, Miller’s earlier roles at the company encompassed overseeing the operations of Southern New England Telephone, leading the merger and acquisition activities of Pacific Telesis’ wireless business, and running Pacific Telesis’ and SBC’s Yellow Pages businesses.

Miller is a trustee of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He has served on the Management Board of the Graduate School of Business at Stanford, the board of the AT&T Cotton Bowl, and as chairman of the board of the Yellow Pages Publishers Association. He was also vice chairman of the Connecticut Governor’s Council on Economic Development and Technology.

Miller grew up in California. He is a 1975 graduate of the University of Southern California, where he majored in accounting. He earned an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University in 1981.
