Recognizing Diversity Champions

Diversity Champion Award winners Detrina Faletogo and Lisa Lam.

Each year, PG&E's President's Diversity Champion Awards recognize employees who have taken the initiative to promote diversity in the workplace—among coworkers, with clients or with customers—and who exemplify the company's commitment to diversity through their behaviors and actions.

Last year, Detrina Faletogo, customer relations consultant, and Lisa Lam, supply chain program manager, earned the award.

Faletogo is president of the Latino Employee Resource Group and has participated in Habitat for Humanity and the Junior Achievement Program. She also helped construct a children's playground at Bret Harte Elementary School in San Francisco, a volunteer project attended by First Lady Michelle Obama and California First Lady Maria Shriver.

Lam has served in leadership positions for the InspirAsian Employee Resource Group and co-founded the Nu NRG Employee Network, a group designed to help onboard and integrate new employees. She also volunteered as senior co-chair of the company's 2010 Campaign for the Community, and participated in Earth Day and other company events for the Asian community.
