Mary King is Vice President, Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer for Pacific Gas and Electric Company. She oversees the company’s talent management functions including diversity and inclusion, recruiting, workforce development, performance management, succession planning, leadership and employee development, and compensation and executive compensation.
King joined PG&E in 2009 in labor relations and has held numerous leadership positions in Human Resources, leading PG&E's Recruiting department and serving as Senior Director of Human Resources Delivery.
Previously, she held positions at Calpine in Middletown, California, and Indianapolis Power and Light in Indiana. She began her career in the United States Army as platoon leader, executive officer and captain. While in Indiana, King earned a J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. She holds a B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York.
