Mr. Cox is retired Vice Chairman of AirTouch Communications, Inc. and retired President and Chief Executive Officer of AirTouch Cellular (cellular telephone and paging services). He was an executive officer of AirTouch Communications, Inc. and its predecessor, PacTel Corporation, from 1987 until his retirement in April 1997. Mr. Cox has been a director of PG&E Corporation and Pacific Gas and Electric Company since 1996 and serves as the non-executive Chairman of the Board of Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
